Sizing
As women, sizing can be tricky. Ordering online makes it even more of a challenge to know what size to order, and how it will look and fit on your body. As a designer, I take this seriously, and want to help you know exactly how to take your measurements, and be able to compare how the dress fits others in every size. Below are photos to compare length of dress to the height of the model, and what each size looks like on the body, along with some tips and info about how Glean and Grace does sizing.
How we size
Here at G&G, we don't want sizes to be confusing, so we skipped the letters, and meaningless numbers and went straight for the actual size of inches the garment will be. For example our smallest size is a 32, if your bust measures 32" at the fullest part, this if your size. Our largest is a size 46, if you bust measures 46" at the largest part, this is your size.
The under bust of the bodice is 4" smaller than the "cup" size. A size 36, will have a 32" under bust. To get the best fit, I recommend making sure the under bust will be tight enough to keep your boobs from slipping into the skirt of the dress. If your under bust is a 32, but the fullest part of your bust is 38" I would recommend sizing down to a size 36.
Below is a video explaining this further, along with how to properly measure your bust.
Now for some sizing references so we can have proper expectations on how our dress will look once we get it! Below are photos of women wearing the dress, with details of their height, size, and current stage of life. I hope this helps you in knowing how to order your dress!
